What tape is best for shipping boxes?
The best choice depends on your specific workflow. Water-Activated Tape (WAT) is the gold standard for corrugated boxes because it creates a structural bond with the carton. For a more versatile, "stick-and-go" solution that works on poly mailers and boxes alike, a premium Adhesive Packing Tape is recommended.
Is water-activated tape better than packing tape?
In terms of security, yes. Water-activated tape is tamper-evident; because it fuses to the box fibers, it cannot be peeled off without leaving visible damage. It is also more eco-friendly as it is paper-based. However, standard packing tape is often faster for low-volume shipping as it doesn't require a water dispenser.
Can I use packing tape on corrugated boxes?
Absolutely. Our custom-printed packing tape uses a high-tack adhesive specifically formulated to grip corrugate surfaces securely. While it doesn't "fuse" like paper tape, it provides an excellent seal and a vibrant, crisp print for branding.
